soul meets soul on lovers' lips - a kissable MMP

Mindfield, I read your “breafastation” as breast something…made me re-read what you wrote there, lol.

Someone mentioned aprons. I love aprons. Make me feel so feminine and 50’s housewifey. (Keep in mind I’m only 24, LOL). Hubby likes them too. He can’t keep his hands off me when I’m wearing a short little skirt, a shirt, and an apron. I like them a lot.

I’m working today, nothing exciting going on. Except, I’ve been playing Halo3 a bit. Love that game.

I don’t know how you keep from grabbing a handful of packing peanuts and stuffing them down his throat. No…really.

Good Lord, it’s too early in the morning for shifts and aprons.

I tried on my new boots today, since the weather seemed appropriate. At size 6 they are slightly too big for me, but I still like them - they’re made in Italy and of real leather, but I got them for 7 dollars at a charity shop. I still haven’t quite decided if I should wear them to work again - they’re not really what you could call come-fuck-me boots, but they’re not very staid and proper either, as a teacher should be.

Need coffee. I suppose I should go apply for my state ID today. And do my laundry. :: grumble ::

I’ll let you know it’s after 4 PM here! (for **Nava **and me both). Such a suspicious little school-marm you are!

Clearly, this calls for photographic evidence so we can help you decide.
Full body shot, please.
Preferably with as little on as possible except for the boots… need an unobstructed view, you know

No no no, I’m at work, wearing jeans-cut but not denim, charcoal grey trousers and a green blouse. And underwear and socks and shoes :stuck_out_tongue:

Wearing a shift around the office would probably be inappropiate. Probably. And it’s almost 5 so I’m about to leave. And no, I won’t get into a shift when I get home either; I don’t own one and my apartment is too cold for one anyway. :stuck_out_tongue:

LiLi, you’ve discovered your coworker’s superpower! He’s… never-breathe-man!
I second the request for a picture of your boots. I’m glad that boots are “in” this year, there were some real pretty ones around the store windows last time I was home. Boots are the only way I can wear any kind of heel without risking a broken neck and they’re comfortable.

:: gives SO a big sloppy kiss on the lips ::

I rode my bike again this morning, even though I really wasn’t motivated. Two miles a day for 4 days in a row! Woo-hoo! I can feel the fat melting off of me…

I hope FCD feels better soon, and gotti too. And anyone else who is feeling poorly.

My stupid software/server is down again. Another boring day is in front of me. It will only get worse, I fear, since they are rolling out a different version, and migrating global databases, and Og knows what else. What a great time for my project, huh? They should be completely through the entire process in 3-4 months. I wish they had put this project off until then! <sigh> It will be way cool when they are done, though.

I made meatloaf last night for dinner. It was great, and didn’t fall apart! Meatloaf is my nemesis. I never know if it will hold together or not. Tonight is fried chicken (gotta have one fried meal a week for my poor ol’ Southern daddy!)

:: runs back in from meeting to post thread ::

Have a great day!

I’ll have any damned day I want.

That’s OK, you just get out of the work outfit… I’ll make sure the cold doesn’t pose a problem

Dolores… my best First MMP Kiss!

I’m kind of hazy on who’s in what pain, but I gather it’s quite a few people… you now who you are – feel better fast. And that’s an order

Memories of last year’s Horrible Co-Worker, who was even worse? At least this year’s Horrible Co-Worker occasionally does some work. I’m thinking about taking up Attacks Husband’s offer to pound him into little pieces. It’s Homicide in the Public Interest.

I’m working with him tonight. Stay tuned.

Well, this has been a busy day so far. I got in and out of the Dr office fast - the nurse was good - one stick and she got a vein! I made a quick stop for a soda and a muffin, since it was a fasting blood test and I was starving, then I stopped at WalMart for juice for **FCD ** and flavored waters.

Once I got home, I discovered that *someone * moved the recliner from the living room to the family room. OK, it was just thru the doorway, but still, I was angry. eeesh! Anyway, I helped him shower (that is, I put waterproof bandages over his incision and stood by while he cleaned up) and changed out bedsheets. Once he was done, I changed his dressing, then gathered all the dirty laundry and took it to the basement. The first load is now in the dryer, the second in the washer, and at least 4 others in the on-deck circle. I also emptied, then refilled the dishwasher, made my sweetie some lunch, and checked on my clay bits in progress. Then there was the cat box and the dehumidifiers that needed emptying.

There’s a big bunch of 'nanners getting overripe on the counter, so we’ll have 'nanner bread - yum! I need to water my houseplants, and both dogs need to be bathed before the weekend is out. Oh yeah, I know you wish you had my life, but you can’t so neener neener neener! :stuck_out_tongue:

One really good sign, **FCD ** had a half dose of dilaudid at 7 this morning, but he hasn’t wanted any more since then. I’m thinking we may be easing around that corner. He’s snoring on the couch behind me, which is probably a good thing, too.

It’s really muggy here, so the house is closed up and the air is on, but a cold front is supposed to ease on thru tonight or tomorrow. Here’s hoping…

I’m hoping for cool air, too, FCM – after the lovely cool weather in Oregon, where except for during the height of the day you needed to wear some kind of light jacket, it was really distressing to get home to hot again. Especially when I’d left cool in Merrylande when I headed west!

I haven’t had quite as busy a day, since snowbunny called to yak before she headed to work, but I’ve been at least attempting to get some of my own work done, for a change. And I changed the cat box and assorted other thrilling and exciting household tasks. No laundry yet, though; I’ll probably give it a couple more days, since everything was clean before I went away.

I guess I should get back to attempting to work. Sigh. I have a severe case of the Don’t Wannas today! Waaah!

ETA: Yay! First on page 6! The highlight of my day, I suspect! Yes, I have a pathetic life, why do you ask?

Evening all! Smooches for Nooner (no tongues, mind!)!!!

Hugs and healing thoughts for everyone who isn’t feeling well.

Quiet day today - just looking after HRH and some grocery shopping in the pre-iftar quiet of the afternoon. The hypermarket was literally a ghost town!

The only exciting news is that Noor’s second tooth has now wiggled its way to the surface - my precious little girl now has two sharp little chompers (her bottom incisors)!

In other news, my job hunt continues. I am determined to hand in my notice on my first day back at work (4th November, in case anyone’s interested). So far, the recruitment agent has my CV out to 2 other law firms and an Islamic investment bank (in-house legal position), so please keep your fingers crossed for me that one of these works out!

Oky-doky, off to recline on the sofa for a while and watch Survivor:China (yeah, it’s on a day later than the US).

ETA: found this video and thought it was really amazing!

Third load in the washer. I’m so domestical - maybe I need one of them aprons. And heels. And pearls. After I’m properly coiffed.

Yeah, right.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Still doing laundry.

My husband has horrible taste in TV. So far, we’ve seen The Departed for the gazillionth time, Springer, Maury, Yes Dear (oh how I hate that show) and now he’s got the stupid DaVinci Code on yet again. I don’t understand how he can watch the same stupid movies over and over and over. GAH!!

I’m hoping to do some clay work tomorrow. I want to get most of the laundry done today so I’ll have several free hours tomorrow. I’m also planning to build a big lasagne and a mega pot of veggie soup. Meat is thawing even now.

dotty, isn’t that guy amazing??? I wonder how long it took to perfect.

::blows kiss to Special1::

So Thursday was supposed to be my calm day after a crazy Mon-Wed. Yeah, right. It has been totally NOT calm here today. But it makes life interesting!

It’s gorgeous outside today. Just a perfect early fall day - sunny and ~70. I think I’m going to skip out of work a little early (I was here until 6:30 last night so I think that’ll be ok!) and go rollerblading. Yay!

I, too, am glad that boots are in. I just bought a replacement pair of knee-high, zip-up, high-heeled boots for this fall/winter. I love high-heeled boots. And today I’m wearing my spikey-heeled borderline-f***-me pumps. I like these shoes.

I have declared my interest in the position. Now I’m just waiting, for what, I’m not sure. I interviewed and filled out an application back in June, I’ve passed one background check already, and the manager told me at the end of August to let her know if I ever wanted a job, so I have no idea what’s next. The director I would be working for is very interested in having me stay as well. I’ve been here almost 4 months now, so I’m not sure if I have to wait out two more months until they can hire me without “buying” me from the agency. Standard here seems to be six months as a contractor before being hired.

Last night, I finally broke down and went to Beverly’s for teeny, tiny buttons. The cuff links that came with 2 of my blouses broke (stoopid Lane Bryant didn’t include spare buttons with these blouses for some reason), so I needed to make my own. I suppose I could buy actual cuff links, but making my own was more fun. The main problem was finding small enough buttons that would work.

Mmm, boots. I want these in pink. The exchange rate being what it is, I guess I’ll have to dream on.

I’m baking a cake. Goulash is cooking in the slow cooker. I have to run off to work in about forty minutes. I hope the cake’s done by then.

I think I need some medicinal Pecan Butter Tart Ice Cream before I wash the dishes. Anyone else want some?

The cat shelter I used to volunteer at sent some email, and like a sucker, I started looking through the pictures of cats they have to adopt. I really really really want these guys! Squeeeeeee!

Those boots are gorgeous! I’d get them in black, if I could afford them and if I could wear them for more than three minutes without severe pain. I used to wear heels a lot, but since all my foot surgeries that’s one more thing I can’t do. :frowning: Oh well, at least I can walk these days!

Good luck with the job, Jahdra – keep us posted!

And thanks for the mention of Survivor: China, Dotty – I’d forgotten that Papa Tigs had recorded the premiere for me last week while I was gone. So I just took a break and watched it. Almost finished up a shawl, too; I’ve got one more purl row and then the final edge row and it’ll be all done except for blocking. That’s one good thing about airplanes; they do give you a lot of knitting time; I got the majority of it done flying west, and probably would have finished it on the return except I ended up sleeping nearly the whole time instead. It’s a lovely deep green in a heavenly soft alpaca, though; if no one ends up buying it, I just may keep it for myself!

Back to the paying work. Be still my beating heart.

ETA: Those kittens are adorable! Squeeee!!!
