soul meets soul on lovers' lips - a kissable MMP

I’m up again. I must have been really tired, because I slept for another hour and a half.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not feeling well Mama Tigs. I hate being sick too.

It’s raining here. Fall is definitely here. It’s certainly been much cooler, especially in the evening and at night.

They say we’re in for a wet winter due to La Nina. Uh, what the hell was last year? Between the rain and the wind storms, I don’t think we caught much of a break.

Have a nice slice of a German butter creme torte for me SCL. That’s one of my favorite German pastries. I have many, but I like the buttercreme torte just because of it’s simplicity.

I slept in til 10am today - the cat was sneezing all night, which kept me up. I’m wondering if she has a cold. She’s not sneezing half as much this morning, so I dunno.

Must be productive today. Must be productive. :: wanders off muttering ::

Whew - break time! After **FCD ** finished his breakfast and shower, I went a’erranding. Stopped at WalMart for waterproof bandages and tylenol. Ran by the marina to check on the boat - it’s still floating. Ran to Food Lion to get him some banana popsicles, plus a grabbed a pork loin that was on sale - 2 roasts in the sucker at least. Then I drove thru BurgerWhopper for a quick lunch. Once back home with the groceries unloaded, I warmed some lasagne for my sweetie, them mixed up 2 loaves of nanner bread. Never used this particular recipe before, so we shall see how it goes. It’s baking now, and the dishwasher is dishwashing. I had to do a few pieces by hand.

I also just got an email from Dr. Bob - I wrote to him yesterday asking if he could prescribe a non-narcotic painkiller, and he said he’d call it in if I’d give him our pharmacy number. So I just dashed off a reply to him. **FCD ** asked about going to Bad Chinese, so if we go there for supper, the pharmacy is just across the street - that’ll work.

Meanwhile, I’m having some Chocolate Turtle Chex Mix as the bread bakes. When it’s done, I’ll change and head to my studio. So much for spending all day down there. <sigh> Even with the little I’m doing, I have such an appreciation for nurses, especially those with multiple whiny patients. Not to say my sweetie is whiny. But my time isn’t my own right now. Still, I know he’d do the same for me, so I don’t mind.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. I was awake at 6:30 because Smokey insisted I feed her. The nerve. I read the comics on line and went back to bed - watched one and a half episodes of L&O:CI and went back to sleep . . . and dreamed I was he captain of the CI squad, except I looked like Eric Borgasian so no one suspected anything. No one, that is, except for Bobby Goren, who approached me privately to ask a very detailed question (I’d just bs’d my way thru a breifing) and I looked at him and could tell he knew. So I said “You and I both know I’ve switched dobies with your Captain. How do I behave until we are switched back?” and he said “meeeeoooww” - because the cat decided I’d slept too long and was standing on my pillow to wake me up. So here I am

I have a few chorus related chores, then off to dinner. Yay!

Many happy returns of the day,** anyrose!**

I have to finish my school work, and probably do some housework as well. Lovely day here, too nice to want to waste it on such things. Maybe a bike ride later. And then The Wah starts up again on WTTW.

The whole house smells of nanner bread. I’m done claying for the day. I’d love to nap, but it’s too late in the day. Plus it’s almost time to feed the critters.

Dr. Bob called in a script for Tramadol so I’ll head down in an hour or so to pick it up - hope it helps my sweetie. He’s decided he doesn’t want Bad Chinese, so I’ll just make a drug run.

I’m dizzy - I bet from too much chocolate turtle chex mix - I swear, that stuff is chocolate covered crack to me. I really should eat some healthy food - mebbe a yogurt would work? Or a PB&J? Or some veggie soup? Decisions decisions…

Have I mentioned I am a bachelor for a few days? Ol’ y’all know who has some kind of meeting for the company he works for in Biloxi, MS. Thus, he decided to head over towards west Alabammy yesterday mornin’ to spend some time with his family then head on down to Biloxi this afternoon. Don’t blame him for doin’ that cause it was a chance to go check up on things plus broke up the trip a bit. It’s not an awful drive from here to Biloxi but a loooooooooooong one. Poor thing will have to drive all day Wednesday (or is it Thursday) to get back home though.

MMMMMMM… 'nanner bread. Might have to make some of that soon.

I have finally decided I don’t have teh sick, just teh sinus ick. So, after church and lunch (went out with some folks from church, I had fish fingers, fries, and cheese grits) I came home and took some Benadryl[sup]TM[/sup] and slept for about an hour and a half. I’d normally be worried about sleepin’ tonight after sleepin’ like that this afternoon, but by beddybye time it’ll be time for some more Benadryl [sup]TM[/sup] which always knocks me out so that’s good.

I like German food. It tastes good and sometimes has long, funny names.

Ok off to do ummmm… sump’n or other.

Later Y’all!

swampy, don’t lie to us - fish don’t have fingers!! :stuck_out_tongue:

Once upon a time, my sig line here read: Indecision is the key to flexibility. That’s the motto of the day here. We *are * going out for Bad Chinese after all, in about half an hour. And the house still smells like nanner bread, even with both loaves wrapped up.

Critters are fed and re-snoozing. The weekend is just about gone, alas. I don’t wanna go back to work. Wonder if I could get away with calling in sick??

Chickens don’t have fingers either but chicken fingers are on menus everywhere. Go figure. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, I need to make me a sammich for lunch tomorrow, lay out clothin’ for work tomorrow, and a couple other chores but I don’t wanna!

I am happy to report that somewhere along this afternoon, I rather suddenly realized that I’m feeling good again. So apparently I really was down with a mild case of Teh Sick – I sure hoped my aching all over wasn’t normal! I hope all our other sickies feel better soon, too.

We just had yummy baked chicken for dinner – Papa Tigs put spices under the skin and then baked it in butter. Yum yum yum! The dogs got a few scraps of the skin in their dinners, and even though they always eat fast, I think they just exceeded their former speed record. We also had a brown & wild rice mix and fresh aspergrass. Yummy fresh aspergrass, I never get tired of it!

I has been good and got a lot of work done this afternoon. I’m now digesting and trying to persuade myself to do more this evening. Thus far it ain’t happening. I guess at some point I should get the pictures off my camera and write tomorrow’s MMP, too, shouldn’t I? All I really want to do is put my feet up for the evening and knit! But alas, the work has to get done first. Stoopid work. :frowning: Why can’t I be independently wealthy? That would be SO much more pleasant.

Back from Bad Chinese. The Tramadol seems to be working, so **FCD ** is feeling a little less pained.

And so winds down the weekend. Next weekend is the boat show in Annapolis. Will we make it or not? That is the question…

BioTigs, young lady, that MMP is not going to write itself you know! Now get in there and get busy. Right now. I mean it! Don’t look at me like that. I said get busy!

Motivated now?

Speaking of motivated I did all the stuff I had to do, so yay me. In about another half an hour I can take me some more Benadryl [sup]TM[/sup] and go sleepy bye. Until then Ima mess around on teh internets.

Later Y’all!

Sigh…<hangs head in shame>

I did not manage to get much accomplished today. I was just not MOTIVATED.

I did do a load or two of laundry and went to the grocery store. We’re supposed to traipse off to the mall now. Ugh…I just wanna veg.

It’s the weather. It’s all gray and dreary. Perfect for curling up with a good book or just watching a movie on TV>

Happy Birthday, BioRosie!!!
Quiet day. Had fire page this morning, and we were told to disregard before I got to the station. No rescue calls yet today. Oh, and I found out I’m no longer a probie (snerk away) on the rescue squad as of tomorrow.

I [del]made hay[/del] mowed the yard after changing mower blades (a big job), fixed the tool shed door, made a beef roast, washed dishes, and doing laundry now. I thought Sunday was supposed to be a day of rest, too…

I say this with absolute conviction and sincerity: kissing is my favorite thing in life, without exception. It beats EVERYTHING.

Happy Birthday, rosie!!!

Back from brother’s reunion. It was fun (although I ran out of people to chat with before he did). Saw a few people I hadn’t seen in 30 years. It’s scary how some people haven’t changed a bit and how others look completely different.

Reminisced with one friend about my brother’s ninth birthday party. I was glad to hear I was not the only one with clear memories of nine-year-olds jumping up and down on our living rooom sofa. (One of the culprits was the one who brought it up.)

Sorry, doggio, I have no idea what the Blue Jackets are ingesting. Although one of them reportedly lives about 3 blocks away from me.

Cute cute cute cute critters, palebunny and Haze.

See…I told you we could have a great pool party at Puggy’s! (Oooooh, alliteration!) Very pretty.

I’ve read the whole MMP, but I’m really tired, so I’ll save further comments till the new MMP.

Hugs to all!

GT

Okay, okay, Swampy, the new MMP is written and photos are uploaded and it should be ready to go. Are you happy NOW? Sheesh. The noive of some people.

I’ve been a bad girl this evening; except for doing the MMP, I’ve blown it off to put my feet up and watch and little mindless TV and relax. It felt so good, I may just go back to doing it shortly!

Heh. I don’t know if I agree with the “beats everything” part, but it’s pretty up there on my list. And welcome to the MMP!

I love how the subject of kissing has lured more people into the MMP thread. :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, kissing is popular. Deservedly so.

Back from work, and yeesh I’m tired and my back hurts. I think it’s off to bed in a couple of minutes. I feel geriatric. I’m almost 29!

:dodges flung objects:

Hey Dotty!
Thanks for the song. I loved the lyrics, and watching those kids sing and dance made me laugh. Your song couldn’t have been more different than mine.

So tonight, how’s this one? A little closer to yours?
House at Pooh Corner
[Kenny Loggins]Christopher Robin and I walked along
under branches lit up by the moon.
Posing our questions to owl and eeyore
as our days disappeared all too soon.
But I’ve wandered much further today than I should
and I can’t seem to find my way back to the wood.

So, help me if you can I’ve got to get
back to the house at Pooh corner by one.
You’d be surprised there’s so much to be done,
count all the bees in the hive,
chase all the clouds from the sky.
Back to the days of Christopher Robin and Pooh.

Winnie the Pooh doesn’t know what to do,
got a honey jar stuck on his nose.
He came to me asking help and advice
and from here no one knows where he goes.
So I sent him to ask of the Owl if he’s there,
how to loosen a jar from the nose of a bear[/Kenny Loggins]
As for the rest of my comments, I’ll take a page from gt and say that I’ll save it for the next MMP. Or another way of saying it for myself. . . I got nuthin’.

Good night and good morning everyone!
