South Park 10/17

Allah and other deities?

I’m expecting that the WMD’s will be there somewhere.

It was actually even better than that:

Investigators: Those aren’t ideas, those are special effects.
Bay: I don’t understand the difference.
Investigators: We KNOW you don’t!

And hey, Mel Gibson might be crazy but at least he understands story structure.

That clearly does not apply to cartoon characters of any age. You could look it up. It’s in the Constitution.

Was the thing with Cartman in the truck a reference to Punisher? I only saw part of the movie, so I’m not sure. It didn’t seem like anything to do with 24 though.

I remembered seeing Joseph Smith and Krishna (he has a halo) in Imaginationland, and there were two other Superfriends, but I don’t remember which. Chances are, though, Muhammad was there. Does this mean that the terrorists blew up Muhammad??

Great episode. I second a request that someone explain what the final scene (Cartman in the truck) was a reference to.

My stupid DVR crapped out just as they were clubbing Butters. I am not happy. Nor am I Dopey. Kind of sleepy…

Wikipedia says it is a reference to a hitchhiking John Rambo in First Blood. I haven’t seen this movie since the '80s so I can’t independently confirm or deny. But apparently the “Bauer Bag” is really a “Rambo Bag”.

Anyone know where the music at the end was from? Both during the wall crumbling and then the semi scene. Taken from a film? A song? Original score?

I was reminded of that UNICEF campaign featuring a Smurf village being bombed into little pieces.

I saw SeaMan (“hahahaha”) as well.

As for the judge, Stan didn’t exactly put up a defense. Maybe the judge was a minimalist who believed the adversarial process should determine her application of the law. No sua sponte rulings for her. No, sir.

Either way, her ruling was freaking hilarious. Paraphrasing:

“You must put his testacles and scrotal sack in your mouth and draw on it succelently for a minimum of 30 seconds.”

Succulently was sent me over the edge.

I liked this episode. I was disturbed I recognized Snarf before they named him. That has to be taking the place in my mind of some mathematical formula that would better serve me.

I also think I saw the following:

Voltron
Optimus Prime
Orko (the magician from He-Man)
Ronald McDonald
Who else? Has anyone found anywhere online that identified every character?

I kept expecting to see Towelie. Funny stuff.

I think I saw the Verb! guy from Schoolhouse Rock, but only from behind.

Here.

As for the trilogy issue…I think before one of the last commercial breaks there was a “To Be Continued…” Then more show after the break, then another “To Be Continued…” at the end.

I only watched it the one time Wednesday night though, maybe someone can correct me.

Nitpick: As for the judge, Kyle didn’t exactly put up a defense.

Link?

Well, you can wipe out that part of your mind which feels guilty about knowing such things by watching the Thundercats movie when it’s released.

Brilliant ep, BTW.

Oh, and as for the whole implausibility of Kyle being forced to suck Cartman’s balls, let’s remember this is a series in which for a good number of episodes the same character would die!
