South Park 10/31 Imaginationland part III

What a wonderful end to the trilogy. All the extra characters were hilarious. Captain Planet, Waldo… so funny.

I loved how they solved the issue of Cartman’s balls getting sucked.

Overall, the best South Park storyline ever, IMHO. They could’ve made a second movie out of this. I will be buying season 11 for sure.
Your thoughts?

I have to admit to really enjoying this one. I loved all the little details. Bullwinkle, Charlie Brown, needing crest, more Satanic Christmas Critters, Butter’s dad the ogre, it was all fun.

Jim

Poor Butters. He never can catch a break. “That only works in Imaginationland!”

It seems Imaginationland has changed Butters a little though… No aww hamburgers at the end.

Imagiontionland has hardened him, in a way that discovering his father’s homosexuality, almost being killed by his mother, being molested by his uncle, being tricked into thinking the world ended, being tricked into thinking AWESOME-O was real and being dumped by the guys for Tweaks couldn’t.

Bullwinkle, but no Rocky? I missed Charlie Brown, damnit!

Satanic Christmas Critters were cool, however.

maybe we just imagined we watched it . . .

“Popeye’s getting killed by the Christmas Critters!”
“More spinache for Popeye…an M-60 for Jesus…”
Al Gore with his cape and Academy Award
Butters failed attempt at imagining Santa.
“I’m in a gumdrop forest…and I just saw Strawberry Shortcake tied up dead and someone peeed in her eye”

Butters getting a pep talk from Jesus, Luke Skywalker, Superman, Hercules
“oh God…”
"he’s talkinging to you next after Cap’n Crunch

Since we wont get series 11 aired here for while i download part 1&2 as they were released on the net and will be downloading part 3 tonight. So far this has been some of my favorite eps.

I’m surprised they didn’t just try to make this into another movie.

“Look at that girl go! She’s just gobblin’ 'em on down!”

I kept expecting Kyle to summon an imaginary 3rd Kyle to go bite them off of Cartman.

I loved it when Kyle was told God wanted to talk to him when Captain Crunch was done.

So was that the real Mark Hamill’s voice?

Christ those guys are on a roll. South Park is a lighthouse.

Yeah, and I noticed Baba Looey, but where was Queeks Draw? He could have helped out as El Kabong.

I also noticed Marvin the Martian was one of the evil imaginary characters.

I watched it again. If you look carefully at Popeye being raped by the Critters, the squiril is peeing on him.

And I loved it when the bear made the Tron guy’s head explode.

It was quick, like so many of them.

Their depiction of Al Gore was actually funny this time, I was dreading more of that “serial” for “serious” stuff from before that I never understood.

He was in the background when Popeye was being gang raped and when he gets spinach. Quick Draw is using a revolver, though, no kabonging.

How did they do it?

Genius! Did you notice the Smurf trying to drag a sword out of the weapons rack?

This won’t make a lot of sense without having seen it, but:

Cartman makes an imaginary Cartman, then an imaginary Kyle. He then imagines that the imaginary Kyle is sucking his (imaginary Cartman’s) balls… with an extremely funny expression on the imaginary Cartman’s face.

“Am I real?”

I’m going to have to rewatch this episode. According to you guys I missed alot of good parts.

During the part where the good guys charge the bad guys, look down in the right-hand corner…the Pillsbury Dough Boy is down there, running with an angry scowl on his face…it’s hilarious!

I don’t know when I’ve laughed out loud so many times during one half-hour TV show.

Al Gore with the cape…God bless Al, I think he’s a good guy, but OMG, that was funny.

We just got DVR technology in my house, and it’s been invaluable watching these episodes, and trying to catch who all the characters are in the crowd scenes.
