South Park 12/8

“Ten percent my balls!”

Good stuff.

Very Nice.

Dead Zone and Silence of the lambs.

“Isn’t it an amazing coincidence how he had a bunch of right hands nailed to his wall?”

High-larious. The psychic battles made me howl. Another good episode in the strongest season in quite a while, I think.

Are police departments actually employing self-described “psychics,” or is that just a horrible urban legends in itself, perpetuated by self-aggrandizing “psychics?”

Here’s a cite that supports the coincidence/trickery claim, but most of the others I found are saying it’s true. I’m siding with Kyle and his bedside rant on this one, methinks.

Oh, of course, I know “police psychics” are a load of bollocks, I was just wondering if police depts. actually hire them. I remember one “psychic” being shot down (not literally, sadly) by a policeman in a murder case who said, “We never used her, she is lying, and we would never consider using a psychic.”

Mrs. Crabtree’s death!

“She hadn’t been in a lot of episodes lately!”

“She wasn’t a popular enough character that they thought people would mind. BUT SHE DESERVED BETTER THAN THIS!”

It reminded me of Maude Flanders’s funeral.

Eh. Simpsons did it.

Actually, I think it was more “Red Dragon” than SotL…

Good episode, though! I liked the Psychic Detectives when they were “attacking” Cartman with all their weird noises and gestures.

I have seen shows on television where a psychic tells about a case, and they interview police that she worked with. I’ve seen at least two of these over the years, and I think they were on A&E. But to get to your question, in those cases the police did actively seek out these psychics. When all the leads had been played out, and the case was ‘cold’.

Could be. I might be confusing Buffalo Bill w/ the tooth fairy.

Psychics will sometimes attach themselves to a grieving family and wait for the family to ask the police to work with the psychic. It’s harder to brush off the grieving family’s request.

Larry King had a bunch of “psychics” on within the last week, talking about their cases.

Court tv interviewed two over the Scott Peterson trial, back before the verdict. One said guilty, the other said not guilty. See. Balanced coverage.

Do you see!!! Do you see!!!

It was definitely not Silence of the Lambs, but Red Dragon or even Manhunters.

You’re right. I saw Red Dragon on TV Friday night and saw the similarities.

I seem to be alone in thinking this season has been pretty sucky until the last couple of episodes. This one was great though.
