That occurred to me too. It would be Cartman’s worst nighmare. Not only would he be half-Jewish, he would be Kyle’s half-brother (which would not exactly delight Kyle either).
Mitch Connor; HIGHLY improbable, as he is an off-shoot of Cartman’s psychosis manifesting itself as his hand as a ventriloquil figure, unless there is an actual, real Mitch Connor
Mr Garrison; Cartman has taken to expressing a portion of his personality with a “puppet”, just like Garrison does with Mr. Hat
Darth Chef; possible, if for nothing more than a “I AM your father” gag
Of course, what would all these Marglars think if Marglar’s Marglar was actually Marglar?
Mel Gibson; Cartman would be quite pleased if The Road Warrior was his father…
Brian Boitano; perhaps Brian Boitano “did” Mrs. Cartman… that’s who Brian Boitano did…
I kept waiting for a joke to appear. Never happened. Very disappointing. I think this is a throwback to the earlier Carman’s Dad fiasco. They might actually be trying to not be funny.
Are things we’ve seen in the commercials considered spoilers? Even if they aren’t, I’ll go ahead and put this speculation on Cartman’s father in spoilers just in case:
The commercials for this season have shown Cartman in ginger get up talking about how they “do have souls, all right?” Since he started emulating each man that he thought was his dad, whoever his dad is must be a ginger.
The entire show was nothing but call-backs to previous episodes. It’s probably just a gimmick for the milestone episode – no reason to think they actually intend to tie up a ton of loose threads. (And besides, closing on a gratuitously unresolved cliffhanger would be yet another call-back.)
Really, if you’re expecting them to follow up, you’re just playing the part of Kyle, dying to be mocked with an “I got you kind of!” chant.
Or maybe next week’s episode will the be the most plot-intensive one ever in the South Park universe, who the hell knows with those guys?
Maybe there will be a third installment. I don’t HOPE for the next episode to be anything but funny. I just think it’s weird to have a ‘call back episode’ without Chef, or Kenny dying… If Chef’s not included I would maybe understand out of respect to the now deceased actor. But those seem to two relevant things from South Parks past.
Or maybe it will be about the Ginger kids pissed off about that’s going on with Conan!?
I read one good review for this episode, one good, one bad one. There are a few things I liked about this episode. I liked the animation and production value… They really filmed Cartman’s discursion with his fist *JUST *over-the-top enough to make it look dramatic, but for comedic value. The steam coming out of Barbra Streisand, er… nose. I loved how SP animates Tom Cruise starts hitting the conveyor belt button differently when he’s pissed.
and Butter’s:
“Wwwhy you pack’m fudge Mr Cruise!?”
I had wondered about that spoiler. I expected it was from a new episode, looked it up, and wound up watching the referring episode. And I was wondering why it looked so familiar.
