Alright, I’m an overweight middle aged guy, but I’m fucking ready for astronaut training now! Go, go, go!
The space craft, The Dragon, is large. Not like those small capsules used during Mercury and Gemini. Dragon is over 20 feet high and can carry 7 astronauts and hundreds or more pounds of cargo.
This official ISS docking simulator uses the same interface that the astronauts use. https://iss-sim.spacex.com/
So far I’ve floated off into space three times. Third time I was so close but bounced off the door. Bah.
The literature says that there are 4 seats. You are saying it could be fitted with three more?
Looks like the weather’s gonna hold. Exciting!!
All go! Go!
Yes; the original prototype showed seven seats.
I think they may have sacrificed some crew space for cargo, but in any case there is sufficient internal volume (unlike Soyuz where even three was a very tight fit).
Also exciting to be watching with the rest of the world.
Science rules!
(Tempted to write Science Rulz, but I just can’t.)
Yeah looks good right now!
Fix your little (weather) problem and light this candle.
Seconds away!
Woot! 1st stage away okay!
This stuff never fails to impress.
Falcon 9 is back down!
Nominal orbital insertion.
Dragon is solo!
Nice launch all the way!
All right, a fine launch there!
Bet Doug and Bob could use a Molsons about now. Hosers.
Oh, it is so nice to have some GOOD news for a change!
