I am surprised nobody has mentioned Narciso Yepes who, with Andrés Segovia, were, possibly, the best Spanish guitarrists ever. Yepes was best known for the “concierto de Aranjuez” which is pretty well known.
Ah, I know of Yepes. Sadly, he was not networked as good as Andres Segovia. He didn’t have as many composer friends who wrote music for him either. It is sad but he is still quite talented and did a lot to advance the guitar by his solo performances. The Concerto De Aranjuez is quite beautiful. It is one of the must haves of classical guitar music.

I totally agree. It is one of my all time favorites.
This is certainly true of much of Liebert’s catalogue, but I think Solo Para Ti is a little more hardcore. It’s essential - dinner, dancing and boot-knockin’ music all in one CD.
