Spanish-Speaking Dopers - Easy/Basic Online Newspaper?

Hi all,

I’m (once again) banging my head against the wall and trying to learn Spanish. I was wondering if anyone could recommend a simple/easy/basic online newspaper in Spanish? I’m really looking for something that’s geared towards people learning the language or perhaps a “news for kids” sort of website.

As it is, I peruse the BBC Mundo and some other sites, but it’s just a vocabulary explosion for me. I’m looking for something just a little simpler.

Also: mostly looking for Latin American Spanish as that’s what I’m exposed to daily.

Thanks for any recommendations!

Doctor Who

It’s not news, but you might like NASA’s Spanish site for kids. It has a lot of really interesting stuff. http://spaceplace.nasa.gov/sp/kids/

Also try Yahoo! Mexico: http://mx.yahoo.com/ It has all the same stuff on your regular Yahoo page, but in Spanish.

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like that NASA page. Just neat to go on it and poke around.

I thought about Yahoo after looking at Google’s Spanish News, but I forgot to look at the site! I’ll check out Yahoo! Mexico.

Permissible one-time bump?
