So, I have a couple of bottles of sparkling syrah. I can’t decide whether to drink it chilled, since it’s sparkling, or unchilled, since it’s red. Anybody have any experience/opinions?
Thanks!

Chilled, both due to the effervescence and sweetness/low tannins. Sounds interesting, though I don’t imagine I’d love it. I prefer bone dry reds.
ETA: CHEERS!!!
:smack: And now I see there’s a recommended serving temp right on the page I linked to. I agree on rarely venturing outside bone dry reds; kind of hoping this might be a good cross between a dry red and a bubbly. Still curious if anyone has had it…
Not this, although now I’m curious. It sounds like a “bubbled” red, straight up. They’re recommending lamb or chocolate cake to serve with. I’d lean more towards Syrah in flavor expectations. Not sweet.
Oh, well; it wasn’t very impressive. Tasted like a semi-dry champagne. Not a lot of syrah flavor came through, and not a great bubbly either. Maybe we’ll drink the rest over ice this summer and pretend it’s grape soda.
Thanks for the review. I was gonna try to get my hands on some.
I’ve had it and enjoyed it. it is dryer than a typical syrah/shiraz but the one I tried still had that jammy note to it. We had chocolate as a pairing with it.
