I wouldn’t give it a thought, Speaker. In my own times, I have acted quite courageously, though reflecting on it after the fact I have wondered why I was so stupid. I have also reacted with craven cringing, and afterward wondered why I was such a coward. Many men regard themselves as brave, when they simply don’t value thier life enough to preserve it. In parallel, I have met any number of cynics, they invariably regard themselves a hard-headed and realistic.

Sounds to me like the kid did good…he followed up on the scene, (even though he forgot he was holding a camera) went and checked with a clerk and apparently provided some info. that helped in an arrest.
Pretty damned good actually…many people would have claimed ignorance and been afraid to get involved at all. He just kinda choked which probably saved him from a possible lawsuit.
Ain’t that some bullshit…I read recently about a burglar winning a lawsuit when he was injured doing a B&E.
