Funny enough, it is estimated that extending ACA subsidies for a year would cost about $38B, or less than what was sent to Argentina.
Extending the enhanced subsidies would cost about $350 billion over a decade including about $38 billion next year, the center-right American Action Forum found.
Though others estimate closer to $30B or $50B, it’s still in that range.

It had a budget of just over $30B this year before being cut, but as you can see that was low.
But there was no way for trumpenfuhrer to take a commission or receive a bribe on $40B going to US healthcare. OTOH, on $40B going to Argentina? Slam dunk.
I pointed out elsewhere that the same scam group responsible for the Melania meme coin also did one for Argentina. This one.
I would not be shocked if this is part of those shenanigans, maybe some embezzlement or laundering of some kind.
The Melania coin launched just a couple days after Trump’s coin. And Milei, who runs Argentina, has been a Trump supporter. They are clearly in some kind of shady financial deal.
I guess money-grubbing, when they have more than they could ever spend, is more fun/ rewarding than anything all that money could do for them.
