speaking of bouncing breasts

On my local news tonight, I heard a blurb about a judge who ruled that the video tape called girls gone wild was not considered to be child pornography, despite the fact that there were teenaged girls (under 18) with nude breasts on the tape. I don’t know the facts exactly, but I am really interested in what anyone thinks about this. I would ask that you also note your age and sex and maybe a statement of yourself, but that of course is up to you to share or not.

As for my thoughts on this, (I am a female, aged 30, full time working married mom…) I would say that many many people have gotten into big trouble for anything sexual invloving any young girl under the age of eighteen even if it is just simple nudity…so why then is girls gone wild exempt from the same laws that have probably (-again I do not know facts really) fined and jailed people and put them on trial for shame and ridicule? Not to mention that if it was my daughter, I would want the laws to protect her stupidity at that age and at least attempt to prevent her drunken escapades from being distributed worldwide legally.

~but thats just what I think today.

It’s not illegal to display a minor nude. Thora Birch was 16 when she did her topless shot in American Beauty.

It is illegal to display a minor in a sexual situation. Even filming two fully-clothed 17 year olds making out would probably get you in a lot of trouble.

That’s the distinction the judge was making.
