Spock & Billbo. Very disturbing.

I really don’t know what to say.

But this just ain’t right.

That is disturbing on so many levels.

Thanks, beagledave, I think my head just exploded.

I’ve heard this one before. It’s on one of my Dr. Demento collections. Never saw the video before.

A couple of thoughts:

1.) If they were to stop running the current crop of anti-drug ads and replace it with Leonard Nimoy saying, “Doing drugs makes things like this seem like a good idea.” followed by this video, the drug problem in the US would evaporate overnight.

2.) A couple of those chicks were hot, but I don’t think that I’d have been able to do 'em, knowing where they’ve been.

I hate you, beagledave

Aaah. To wear shrink-to-fit white jeans again.

Spock and Billdo??

I didn’t know Billdo swung that way…

oh, Billbo. Sorry…:smack:

OMG. Three out of five members of the Goose family are currently ROFL.

Bonzo says, “Hey, that’s a camp song!” I said, “What?”

He said, “Somebody got up at church camp last year and sang that.” Poor Nimoy–his alternate career as a rocker, reduced to “somebody sang that at camp last year”.

I see that it was a hit single in 1968. OMG.

Thank you, Dave, for a most worthy addition to the “Mom’s WEIRD Stuff” Favorites folder.

Note to other people with slow computers: It’s a Quicktime movie, which took FOREVER to load completely on my computer, one dribble at a time–but it was WORTH IT.

Oh yes. And sing along.

I said, everybody SING!!

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA!

I have a version of the video, but it’s only about ten seconds long and at the end there’s a big record that says ‘FRODO LIVES’.

You are truly my hero and this is only marginally better than my William Shatner mp3 of Mr. Tambourine Man!

Say jin have you heard Shatner’s rendition of “Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds” or Nimoy’s “Proud Mary”? “Bilbo” here doesn’t do Nimoy’s singing voice justice at all!

Reason #235 why I hate the 60’s and 70’s.

I think Mr. Nimoy must have received some bad career advice in his early years. He did a LOT of “music” in the 60’s. Who can ever forget “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” from Mr. Spock’s Music from Outer Space - why do I know this song you may ask? Well, because I have an aunt who actually OWNED THE ALBUM - and played it endlessly!

Have a look at this fan link and this official fan site link for more about his musical wanderings. The scary thing about that second link there is that you can clearly see that he didn’t stop singing on records (before going over to spoken word) for YEARS!

I shouldn’t have kept watching after the first ten seconds…
isn’t there a rule about linking to disturbing web sites?

Yeah, I also have Lucy, and Nimoy singing “If I had a Hammer,” and him and Mr. Shatner singing “Put a little love in your heart.” I have some other stuff by them too but I’m too lazy to look in the directory to see exactly what it is.

The church of Shatner, or something like that (do a Google search) has a video of him doing “Rocketman.” It is truly classic.

I also have some songs by Brent Spiner (Data from TNG), who actually is a very good singer.

jin, I want you to know that when I looked at your post thiscaught my eye

And I’ve found the site you mentioned it’s The First Church of Shatnerology. I’ve found God ( ), and he wears a toupee, thank you jin, from the bottom of my heart.

I got that version, too, from the same site a few months ago. I’ve wanted to see the whole version since then.

Dancers with Spock (elf?) ears doing the frug! Priceless! ROFLMAO!

I actually hyperventilated. Quick! How do I save this so I can burn it onto cd and torment my friends?

Right-click on the link and choose “Save Target/Link as” , or just search your c: drive for *.mov.

Ok, I feel obligated to come to Nimoy’s defense here. He’s really not a bad singer. He has a good voice, just a very dated song selection.
