Bones: “As far as I can tell, they’re BORN pregnant.”
are they Giant Fuzzy Aphids?
Sorry Dude, my money’s on Wearia.
Creating a Klingon Jihad against the creatures.
They weren’t able to be spayed or neutered, they were “born pregnant” and I have no idea what ecosystem they could have been born into, but given their lack of any defensive mechanism, they must’ve been the world equivilent of berries and feasted on in huge numbers.
And Conscience of the King was a fine episode.
One thing that bothered me is that it would be easy enough to explain, given the behavior of the locals. Such as a mention that they don’t use it because it causes progressive sociopathic tendancies, so it’s been declared illegal. Or perhaps Section 31 quietly slipped amnesia drugs into Enterprise’s water, wiped the files, and dropped a bioweapon on the planet - after taking samples for themselves.
Well, they gotta have something like ovaries, uterus, or similar, that could be ganked out of them. Certainly, the Martian flatcats that the idea was cribbed from, could be neutered.
Then they’ll truly be “nae tribble at all,” eh?
Yes, “Spock’s Brain” was the worst. No question. But the fact that so many loyal, loving Trekkers could come up with so many other nominees speaks to the genius of those who made the show. Even the crappy episodes don’t deter us from loving Trek.
Respectfuly, I must ask why?
I mean he makes a bold statement about the entire female population based on two people he has just met. He obviously has preconcieved about women.
Eg: “You are the sanest woman I have ever met” (Lights of Zentar).
Jay Leno (a big Trekker hisself) once talked about this in a monologue. “The producers would just wander around the Paramount lot and use whatever set wasn’t booked that day. Say, here’s a planet that looks like Kitty’s bedroom from ‘Father Knows Best’.”
On the subject of most used Trek quotes, I find myself, whenever talking about my younger days, referring to them as “The Beforetimes, when the Grups were here.” [from Miri]
I think he was speaking only of the women he had seen on the planet.
Spock tells the trader something like, “Surely you must have known that when you removed the tribbles from their predator filled environment…”

Ahem … It’s “The Lights of Zetar”
Since someone else mentioned Jay Leno and Star Trek, in one of his routines he said when someone would mention a list of anything, the final item would always be the weird “pulled out of left field” reference.
“Captain this behavior has only been observed in salmon, gypy moths and the Krelman creatures of Omicron Ceti 5.”
I thought of another nomination for worst episode. What about the “Deadly Years”? (The landing party (except for Chekov) starts aging at am alarming rate.)
Where is the suspense in this one? Kirk gets put on trial for his senile abilities as Captain. Wow, weren’t you worried that Kirk would never be Captain again?
Gee, did anybody think the rest of the series would take place in an old age home? Were we expected to see every few episodes a castmember die of old age?
I forget who mentioned “Turnabout Intruder” but I’ll second that.
I consider “Conscience of the King” to be one of the better episodes. As you watch it, there’s always some doubt if Anton Koridian (sp?) was really Kodos (sp?) the Executioner. Veteran actor Arnold Moss played a good part and hey … Barbara Anderson
You won’t see her dressed like that in “Ironside” reruns will you?
Which was the one where we become annoying high-pitched super-speedy guys? My James Blish collection is in the other room, and today I am annoying low-pitched super-treacle gal.
Hey! My wife’s cousin wrote Miri!
And Bonk!Bonk! and No More BlahBlahBlah aside, I’ll defend it as one of the more interesting episodes.
Wink of an Eye - # 68
Had two neast things in it. A sidestepping of the censors (Kirk and chick about to get it on, cut to Kirk putting his boots back on), and Spock as a guardian angel of sorts (stays in super speed mode after cure is foundt, fixing everything in sight, then finally comes back to normal).
Musical Theater (esp. The Sound of Music)at any speed?
Arrrrgh! my ears. . .bleeding. . .hey, that nun’s kinda hot. . .Arrrgh!
