Sports series/leagues with multiple title sponsors

I’m writing a piece about the Champ Car auto racing series, whose full name is “Bridgestone Presents the Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford.”

Being smart Dopers, you have immediately noticed one or both of the unusual things about this name. First is that it’s a complete sentence, thanks to the use of the word “presents.” (This annoys me because, being a language purist, I don’t think a proper noun should be a sentence. But I’ll spare you that rant for now.)

Second is that there are two title sponsors.

I don’t know much about sports outside motorsports, so my question is: Can you think of any other sports series whose names have either (or both) of these characteristics? That is, 1) the name is a complete sentence (subject, verb, predicate)* or 2) there are two sponsors’ names in the official name of the series.

Thanks.

  • To my fellow language purists who want to remind me that you don’t need a predicate to have a complete sentence: yeah, I know. But that’s beside the point here. And I’ll give you double bonus points if you can name a series that consists only of a subject and a verb.

While it only had one sponsor, for a couple of years it was “The Rose Bowl presented by AT&T”.

The Rose Bowl has since dropped the sponsorship. When I read about the marketing arrangement, the difference was that sponsors whose names appeared BEFORE the name of the event had to pay more because people would pay more attention to that one.

The ones AFTER the name of the event were less valuable.

The Rose Bowl (the game itself) felt it would be devalued to have a corporate sponsor in front of its name.
