Spotting Star Trek actors in other programs

DeLancie was on the Star Trek Continues ep “What Ships Are For”, too. But not as Q.

Nicola Bryant, Peri from Doctor Who, will be on soon, according to their Facebook page.

Robert Picardo played Dr. Lewis Zimmerman, the creator of the Emergency Medical Hologram in an episode of DS9 and an episode of Voyager.

Dwight Schultz played Lt. “Reg” Barclay in TNG, the movie First Contact, and in six episodes of Voyager.

Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis appeared as Riker and Deanna in the final episode of Enterprise.

The Voyager episode Flashbackhad guest appearances by Sulu and Janice Rand.

In TNG The Price, two Ferengi get trapped on the other side of the galaxy. They reappeared in Voyager False Profits, played by the same actors.

A Cardassian named Gul Evek (Richard Poe) appeared in TNG, DS9 and the Voyager pilot.

And the same Computer Voice (Majel Barrett) appeared in multiple series.

And in the 2009 Star Trek reboot.

And Rand was in at least one (two? three?) of the first six motion pictures.

Warren Stephens, TOS By Any Other Name, The Forbidden Planet, was in a *Have Gun Will Travel *episode. I knew the guy, but didn’t know who he was until the credits.

Never paid much attention to Beverly Washburn, who played Lt Galway in “TOS:The Deadly Years”. But saw her recently in an episode of “77 Sunset Strip” and looked at imdb. Good Lord, she goes back to 1950 making films. Including playing a chold in the two-parter/film “Superman and the Mole Men” (was she the one rolling a ball to the mole men)? And after a hiatus in the 1980s and 1990s she is making films again.

I was reminded today of Dick Miller, who played a “sanctuary district” guard in the DS9 two-parter “Past Tense”. He’s been in more stuff than just about anybody.

Just saw LeVar Burton on “The Love Boat” as a blind (!) passenger.

Louise (“Requiem for Methuselah”) Sorel was in the very first episode of Night Gallery (not the pilot movie). She was not blond.

Aside from the actors others mentioned, Picard had one appearance in DS9, and Dr. Bashir had one appearance in TNG.

Here’s William Campbell (“Koloth”/“Trelaine”) in a cheesy old horror flick called “Blood Bath” https://i2.wp.com/doblu.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/bloodbath2541.jpg

Cute girl.

Also called, “Track of the Vampire,” it’s two, two, two flicks in one; there’s a Yugoslavian vampire flick cut in in various spots, which is why Campbell doesn’t seem to be himself at times.

That’s Lori Saunders from Petticoat Junction.

I must pay more attention when the petticoats flip over the water tank.

Three (or four, if you count her appearance in STIV with different hair color as “Woman in Cafeteria”), and an episode of ST:VGR:

On the old series “The Lieutenant” there were some Star Trek actors appearing together on the same episode.

I was surprised to see Jonathan Frakes in an old episode of the Waltons. Interestingly, he played a naval officer there too (I believe a Lieutenant. Can’t believe it took him like four centuries to get promoted to Commander!)

Cool!

Anthony Caruso, Bela Oxmyx from A Piece of the Action, played Cherokee Chief White Bull on the Riverboat episode The Long Trail. He was a crook and made a deal with the white guys to sell out his people and met his Just Reward, falling off the riverboat in the clutches of the army colonel who was an asshole.
