I haven’t been keeping track of writers, but that should be worth extra points. ![]()
I haven’t been keeping track either, but the name *Kandel *jumped out at me. The quality of the episodes really went downhill toward the end, but this one was definitely above average.
Little Person Jerry Maren, one of the copper-skinned ambassadors in “Journey to Babel,” as “Karen’s Dad” in the ***Seinfeld ***episode “The Yada Yada.”
Gunfight at Comanche Creek was on Grit today, starring DeForest Kelley, aka Dr. Leonard H. “Bones” Mccoy, as a bank robber.
I can’t help it!
“I’m a Doctor, not a bank robber!”
He was also in the pilot for the TV version of The Cowboys (1974), playing a bad guy again.
Looking at the cast list for that show, I also see Ted Gehring (the “Second Cop” in “Assignment: Earth”), Clint “Balok” Howard, and Ian “Septimus”/“Mr Atoz” Wolfe.
Jan “Lt Mira Romaine” Shutan as “Lizz” in William Dozier’s unsold Dick Tracy pilot of 1967.
Eve Plumb of Brady Bunch fame was in this one too. (No particular reason to mention this, other than I’ve always had a “thing” for Eve Pumb. :o )
… and The Shat himself as Alexander the Great in the unsold pilot of the same name (1963), brought to you by the producers of Combat!
Captain Kirk **and **Batman in the same series. What a missed opportunity! (Well, kinda....) :(Notice how the Greek letter “Sigma” easily transforms into the Latin “E”…
We’re at our favorite (non-chain) Italian restaurant the other day for dinner and they have “Bonanza” on the TV [
] and there’s Kathie Browne. Sorry, I couldn’t tell you which episode it was as they had the sound off and I’ve never watched a “Bonanza” (or “Ponderosa”) epi. Not a fan.
According to IMDb, she was on that show six times. As a woman on Bonanza, I assume she was dead by the end of each episode she appeared in.
Well, she didn’t die on ST: Deela (Scalosian) | Memory Alpha | Fandom
IIRC, Deela was revealed to be pregnant at the end in the original script. There must be a whole slew of planets in the Galaxy with little Jim Kirks running around on them.
The story for “Wink of an Eye” was written by Lee Cronin, aka former producer Gene Coon, who may have contributed more to the series than anyone else. He also produced Wild, Wild West for a time, from which he must have lifted the premise for this story (written by John Kneubuhl).
I remember. I always thought she was one of the best foils on the Original Series. Bonanza, though, is infamous (perhaps a bit tongue-in-cheek) for killing off the main characters’ love interests. Think of them as red shirts on the Ponderosa.
Rawhide, Incident Before Black Pass. Leonard Nimoy as the Kiowa Anko, Arthur Batanides, D’Amato from That Which Survives, as Gypsy.
Just saw Buckaroo Banzai for the eight millionth time and loved it all over again. Quite a few people in the cast with ST credits:
And ST later had several Easter eggs related to the movie:
Leonard Nimoy in the* Bonanza* episode, The Ape.
Stanley “Cyrano Jones” Adams as cafe owner “Juan Acalito” in Lilies of the Field (1963).
James “Dr Adams” Gregory as a Steve McGarrett clone in “The Hawaiian Connection” episodes (Pts 1 & 2) of Sanford and Son.
The episode “Shore Leave”.
Who was the woman Kirk saw and decided to spend time with?
The clothes suggest “A Taste of Armageddon”.
Ruth? Played by Shirley Bonne?
Are you confusing her with Mea 3, played by Barbara Babcock?
