Spotting Star Trek actors in other programs

Siddig el Fadil, who played Dr. Bashir on Deep Space Nine, also played the angel Gabriel in The Nativity Story, and Ra’s Al Ghul on the TV series “Gotham”.

Last night I watched Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks’s charming 2004 comedy/romance The Terminal, and spotted Zoe Saldana (Uhura in the ST reboot movies, here playing a Trekker who even flashes the Vulcan hand salute!), Michael Nouri (a Vulcan in one episode of ST Enterprise) and Jude Ciccolella (a Romulan commander in ST Nemesis).

Known as Alexander Siddig since the fourth season of DS9 since he discovered that viewers didn’t know how to pronounce Siddig El Fadil.

Hmm, maybe that’s Spock’s full name.

Dan Butler appears in a conference-room scene and has a single line in the 1986 crime thriller Manhunter: Dan Butler | Memory Alpha | Fandom

Tracey Walter appears as the Joker’s loyal but not too bright henchman Bob in the 1989 Tim Burton/Michael Keaton Batman: Tracey Walter | Memory Alpha | Fandom

The lovely Brenda Strong plays an unnamed dinner guest of Dr. Hannibal Lecter (uncaught, as yet) in Red Dragon: Rashella | Memory Alpha | Fandom

Holy crap! I know her from ***Seinfeld ***and the recent ***Dallas ***reboot. I had no idea she was in TNG. (I remember that episode but not her, sadly. :frowning: )

I shall always think of her as The Braless Wonder. :o

Note to self - Brenda Strong =/= Brenda Song.

Recently watched an old (1989) TV movie on YouTube called “Twist of Fate”. The leads were Ben Cross and Bruce Greenwood, who appeared in ST: 09 as Sarek and Christopher Pike, respectively. John Glover also had a prominent role, in a rare turn (for him) as a good guy.

Here she is in the movie (not a scary scene), speaking at 0:42: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHUgvhExOfo

Just realized that Elizabeth Dennehey, who played Cmdr. Shelby in two memorable episodes of ST:TNG, is also in Red Dragon, playing an FBI criminologist. The DVD extras of the movie include a scene with Frank Langella, who played a scheming Bajoran politician on DS9, providing the voice of the evil alter ego of Ralph Fiennes’s character; the director decided the scene worked better without the voiceover, however, and cut it.

Robert “Lazarus” Brown in the Columbo episode “Playback” as the victim’s son.

Also in this episode was Herbert Jefferson, Jr, who was involved in this project (among others of interest):

Last night my wife was watching a 2017 episode of Midsomer Murders and, before he even appeared onscreen, I recognized the voice of the great David Warner, who’s appeared in three different *ST *roles: David Warner | Memory Alpha | Fandom

probably was already mentioned but Alexander Siddig was in GOT and got whacked.

Not going through the thread but I discovered something called Messiah of Evil with the loooovellyyyy Marianna Hill (Dr. Noel) and Elisha Cook Jr (from ‘Court-Martial’)

Walter “Pavel Chekov” Koenig as Swedish businessman “Gunnar” in the ***Gidget ***episode “Gidget’s Foreign Policy.” His Swedish accent is pretty much indistinguishable from his Russian accent.

This episode was written by Stephen Kandel, the creator of Harry Mudd in Star Trek: TOS.

Also in this episode is Brooke Bundy, aka “Sarah MacDougal,” one of the Chief Engineers disposed of in the first season of ***Star Trek: TNG ***(“The Naked Now”). Brooke plays Gunnar’s fiancée “Inge.”

Her Swedish accent is even worse than Walter’s. :frowning:

No, he was in five roles. I will ask you again until you agree.
