Spotting Star Trek actors in other programs

Watched “Kolchak, The Night Stalker” yesterday for the umpteenth time. Trek Alums were Elisha Cook (Samuel Cogley), Stanley Adams (Cyrano Jones), and, as the vampire Barry (Surak) Atwater.

Roger C Carmel (“Harry Mudd”) as Alan Brady’s financial manager “Doug Wesley” in the Dick van Dyke episode “It Wouldn’t Hurt to Give Them a Raise.”

“Wesley.” :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Just saw Lise Simms as the nice wife of Chandler’s obnoxious boss on Friends.

Kenneth Mars (“Colyus” in DS9) as “Captain Gooney” in That Girl’s “I Ain’t Got Nobody.”

“Though a bit obvious”

Deep cut Worf quote.

Niiiiiiice.

Just saw Kurtwood Smith as superlawyer David Boies in the Theranos miniseries The Dropout. Hadn’t realized he has three ST credits.

Sandra “Dr Lester” Smith as “Valerie Michaels” in the Hawaii Five-O episode “No Blue Skies.”

Robert Picardo from ST Voyager is in the Stargate series.
Conner Trineer, Trip from Star Trek Enterprise played a wraith (bad alien) in several episodes of Stargate Atlantis. A very different character, a good actor.

OK, this is not for sure, but. . .

I think I spotted Angelique Pettyjohn in The Monkees (Fairy Tale). You can see here from about 10:46 to 10:54.

Here’s an obscure one. Just saw Lawrence H. Styles | Memory Alpha | Fandom _ James Sikking

Of Star Trek 3 in a dumb 10 minute segment of a Night Gallery episode as a reporter. I don’t think he even had any lines

I first noticed him as the pugnacious SWAT commander on Hill Street Blues.

Just saw Michael Berryman in the 1985 John Hughes film Weird Science as a gang member.

I just saw Brent Spiner as a Gucci exec giving a job interview to Rachel on Friends, and as a Boston physicist flirting with Lilith on Frasier. Also, Patrick Stewart was really good as a funny and flamboyantly gay opera director smitten with Frasier on a different episode of that show.

Phillip “Col Green” Pine as an AAF sergeant in the Dana Andrews/Susan Hayward movie My Foolish Heart. (1949)

As a fan of “The Fugitive”(TOS) I remember him as Kimble’s brother-in-law, and in a couple of other roles.

Thought I’d branch out from watching Youtube Dragnet episodes and watch a Felony Squad episode. Boy was that a big mistake. Sooooo bad. And made little sense. Especially compared to a quality show like Dragnet

Anyway it had Steve Inhat (Garth of Izar) and Angelique Pettyjohn (Shahna)

Both died way too young. Inhat at 37 and Pettyjohn at 48.

Robert “Charlie Evans” Walker in Bonanza’s “The Gentle Ones.” I see he passed away on 5 December 2019 at the age of 79.

The only good thing about that is I recognize the name, an indication that I haven’t stumbled off into dotage.

I’m so used to famous actors dying during the Pandemic, I’m kind of glad he escaped it. Mary Ann was the one who hit me hardest.

Ah, man.
I did not know.

Mary Ann died of COVID the last week of 2020, a shitty end to a shitty year.
