Impressive - thanks!
I remember my dad watching Perry Mason when I was little, and I watched it late at night while I was in college. So it has a lot of nostalgia value for me. I hadn’t seen it in years, and am glad to be watching it now.
I just saw that Adventures of Superman two-parter and came here to post. It also included Jeff Corey who played Plasus in The Cloud Minders, and has been mentioned a few times in this thread.
Wow! Beverly was quite a dish back in the day, and she’s still alive and kicking at 83.
Ken Lynch and Mark Richman (again and again) in Alfred Hitchcock Presents “A Man with a Problem” (1958).
Anthony “Bela Oxmyx” Caruso and Paul “Lt Stiles” Comi in Perry Mason’s “The Case of the Sad Sicilian” (1965).
Just saw Tracey Walter as a less-than-brilliant FBI special agent in Matilda.
Steve Ihnat, Janos Prohaska, Barry Atwater, Lee Meriwether, Joseph Mell, Byron Morrow, Whit Bissell, Lawrence Montaigne, Jeanne Bal, Paul Winfield, Rhodes Reason, Meg Wylie, Ian Wolfe, Nancy Kovack, Arlene Martel, and Diana Muldaur* in different episodes of Perry Mason since my last post.
*In “The Case of the Fatal Fashion,” a “Made for TV” Perry Mason movie (1991).
Besides watching Perry Mason, I recently caught a few episodes of Gomer Pyle, USMC. One had guest star Susan “Vina” Oliver as “Miss Camp Henderson.”
Gomer dated her to show she wasn’t just a “sex object,” which should have been a dead giveaway! ![]()
I watched Our Man Flint and In Like Flint this afternoon. Peter “Claymare” Brocco was in the former and Steve “Lord Garth” Ihnat was in the latter.
I found it amusing that Brocco’s evil scientist was “Dr Wu,” while his Asian counterpart was “Dr Schneider.” Maybe the script girl screwed up when handing out parts? ![]()
Ihnat was a traitor who had a scheme for nuclear blackmail. Of course, Flint stopped him! ![]()
William “Merricus” Smith and John “Commissioner Ferris” Crawford as Wehrmacht officers in the Combat! episode “Cry in the Ruins” (S03E27).
I was surprised by how well they both spoke German, something at which Hollywood actors aren’t usually good.
Frank “Commissioner Bele” Gorshin as a tank-driving GI in the Combat! episode “The Hell Machine” (S03E28).
Andrew Robinson (Garak from DS9) was in Spider-Noir.
I have nothing to say!
Spotted T’Pring as a blonde in an episode of “Banacek” the other day - would not have recognized her at all.
(Banacek is a veritable smorgasbord of “hey it’s that guy!” moments. My favorite was was Jessica Walter (Lucille Bluth), who played that episode’s flirting interest for Banacek)
Arlene Martel had a long and interesting career as a guest star in different series. When I think of her, it’s usually in the context of Star Trek, Columbo, Hogan’s Heroes, and The Twilight Zone.
Yeah, I probably had a slight twinge of recognition of her from her Hogan’s Heroes roles
I was just watching a clip from an old sitcom (My Sister Eileen, 1960–61) on YouTube, and I recognized the name of its lead, Shirley Bonne. A quick check revealed she was “Ruth,” the replica of Captain Kirk’s lost love in “Shore Leave.”
As above, except the sitcom was It’s a Man’s Life (1962–63), and the actor was Glenn Corbett, the original “Zefram Cochrane” in “Metamorphosis.”
