We had some spreading junipers that succombed to some disease or other. What are some other good low lying evergreens? They should not get more than one foot high, maximum spread is desireable, disease resistance a plus. Is there an perennial shrub that would fit the bill?
Dwarf Mugho Pine stays short, but I don’t think it spreads much. You might look into cotoneaster, pronounce cuh-toe-knee-ass-ter. Personally, I hate junipers, aside from their wonderful effect on gin. They are pert’ near the most painful plant I have ever met.
