Yeah, I recall it from childhood too which probably explains why I don’t do it anymore. Spring ritual now is planting veggies.
I worship at the altar of baseball so that is spring to me.
I’m still hesitating to take the snow brush out of the car. I didn’t use it all winter but to clear off other people’s cars…and I had to use it last weekend to clear off dad’s car.
The snow stuff never comes out of my car - snow brush stays in the car, and all the winter supplies stay in the trunk.
I’ve started one of my spring rituals - the cleaning out of the flower beds. Now, once all the new snow melts, I can start it up again.
I rotate wardrobes, too - out with the long pants and sweaters, in with the short pants and sleeveless tops! We’re not there yet, though - it’ll be another couple of weeks, at least.
I’m going to start haunting the greenhouses soon - that’s another couple of weeks away too, though.
