I think you are right on the Phlox thing. These seem to be coming up where there was Phlox last year. The reddish purple color was throwing me off though.
You can get your own rare Aussie flower here. They come as cuttings and even full grown plants and in all kinds of colors. This is where all mine come from and you can see how great they are!
The pictures are fussy and not close enough for some. I have to make a best guess because of this.
Iris no doubt. They could use the grass pulled out and they’ll flower much better, they may be to the point wher you should divid them also. You do that after they flower and die back in the summer.
Daffodils extremely crowded. They do good clustered. You need replant them when they start getting smaller each year.
Garden Phlox.
Nettle It’s out of focus so nettle is the best match. It may be a mint of some type though.
The iris definitely needs to be split up, the rhizomes are all clumped together in one spot. I’ll take your advice and split them later in the season. I think I’ll split up the daffodils at the same time.
I can also now verify that the last mystery plant is in fact nettle. I picked up the most mature piece I could find intending to try and take a better picture. It took about 2.5 seconds from that point to confirm that it was nettle. There is a lot of it out there and I’m not sure how I’m going to get rid of it.
