Sprint PCS, Damn You to Hell!!!!!!

Rex:

  1. Voice mail costs minutes to check, and you don’t know what the message is (or in some cases, who called you) until you check it. If you’re in a meeting, you won’t be checking your voice mail, but you can still receive text messages.

  2. Turning off the ringer and letting calls roll to voice mail helps a bit, but it still costs you to check VM, and you still don’t get the message until you’re someplace where you can listen to VM. And if you want to place a call when you’re someplace where you can’t speak on the phone, you’re screwed.

  3. Well, it’s not as useful for everyone. I personally use it all the time… my girlfriend doesn’t have a cell phone, but she can email me from school to ask me to pick her up, etc.

  4. We have Cricket here too (and other areas have the same deal from companies like Metro PCS), but it’s not suitable for anyone who travels out of town, and their phone selection is pretty slim. Unlimited night/weekend minutes are pretty common with nationwide carriers, but few people have 1000 peak minutes.

Be careful when you leave Sprint PCS. I cancelled my service with them about 3 years ago, and when I didn’t receive a final bill I called them. They assured me there was no outstanding balance on my account. Okay, sounds good so far. Then about 6 months ago I received a letter from a collection agency regarding a past due amount on my Sprint PCS account! Fuckers told me there was no past due amount and then they wait almost 3 fucking years to report it to a collection agency, making no effort to contact me regarding the matter. When I called Sprint to complain I was told that I must have misunderstood when I was told my account balance was $0. I was also told that as a former customer they have no obligation to contact me regarding any outstanding balances. Their procedure was to let it go to collections becasue it’s easier for them to collect the money. Yea, that makes sense.

Are your issues still ongoing? If so please drop me an email(it’s in the profile) and I’ll see if there is anything I can do to help.

Enjoy,
Steven
