Sprint PCS Service and/or Sanyo SCP-8100 Review

So, what do you think of your Sprint PCS service? Good…bad…share your opinion. If you purchases the Sanyo SCP-8100 as well what did you think of the phone? Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Very, very bad. I have gone through hell with them trying to rip me off and screw up my credit. I search of the web shows that they have done this to many people. Here are some Dopers who agree with me:

There are a number of websites dedicated to Sprint, e.g.:

I’ve been with Sprint for two years and have never had any problems.

They all suck. Sorry :frowning: Even Nextel, who, by all accounts, is a fantastic service provider has managed to inspire the http://www.nextelsucks.org site. The best advice I can give you is to buy a good phone. My multi-hundred dollar PDA phone is still going strong nearly three years after purchase while my wife’s phone, very basic model, is dropping calls, breaking up, and losing service in areas mine still gets full signal. Quality and clarity has always been fine on mine as well.

Next best advice, read everything. All the fine print and EVERYTHING. If there is anything you don’t understand in the contract or legaleze I’d bet you could post it in GQ and have someone explain what it means for you. Knowing how all the billing rates work and how your airtime/data time/etc breaks down can really save you some serious headaches.

Enjoy,
Steven
