You know, some people don’t make any noise. I’m marrying one of them. And he’s watched LOTS of porn, knows the sounds he’s “supposed” to make, but he just doesn’t make noise when we make whoopee.

A lot of people make noise during sex. MOST people do-- or else porn wouldn’t be the way that it is. Why do people always think culture has to be reflective of entertainment instead of the other way around?

I’m pretty sure the “squeaky” noises are a Japanese thing (not asian) and it’s a cultural, not a physical thing… because if you look at American porn featuring asian women who were raised in America, they don’t make those noises - they sound like other American pornos. I don’t have any cite for it, but I’d wager a guess that the Japanese noises simply have to do with some sort of cultural idea that during sex, the man is the aggressor, and it’s “hot” for the girl to act like she’s in pain (or close to it) from the act.

Thinkin you’re right. The times I’ve been to Japan, staying in small cheap business hotels, they always seem to have a couple of porn channels which I’ve watched breifly (really!), while flipping channels. It often seemed like the Japanese porn actresses do alot of this kinda helpless squealing & crying, like they aren’t enjoying it at all & are completely helpless, almost even like a rape/sexual assault scenario. I think it’s more just where ever you have grown up your probably going to take on the sounds that you have become familiar with hearing, whether it be from hearing others do it or you’ve watched porn. (and being in Japan, I’m sure they’re much more likely to be watching japanese porn, rather than porn from another culture. I know most the time I watch stuff in my own language lol)

Clearly there’s a cultural and instinctive component.
But if culture were the dominant or only factor I’d find it quite strange that the great gamut of sex noises seems to boil down to Japanese whiny porn and everyone else.

I don’t think that every girl from one culture will sound exactly the same. But I do think that they will have grown up with a similar idea of what a man in their culture wants to hear. So that’s what they will likely offer.
Of course a more experienced or married woman isn’t as likely to cater to a man’s petty sexual wants/needs and could therefore be much more monotone or even quiet all together.
As far as I can tell from the evidence available every American woman goes “Oh yeah… oh yeah… oh yeah…” incessantly for twenty minutes on end. Also they all have blonde hair, inch-long white fingernails, rock-hard breast implants and no pubes.

(they make the noises that they know from experience and cultural knowledge that north American men want to hear) Compared to someone from another culture they have always pretty much sounded the same to me. North American women make the same noises that the girls make in North American porn, cause they figure that’s what we want to hear.
And it doesn’t matter on the culture, young women are more likely to climax if they feel sexy for their man. And a big part of that is… you guessed it… making the noises they believe their man wants to hear.

On a final note, I can definitely say of the many Canadian girls I’ve been with, none of them squealed and had the high pitch moan that I heard with the japanese girl (which sounded just like girls in japanese porn i’ve seen)
Obviously no one is going to sound the same as anyone else. But I don’t think it’s so far fetched that different cultures have grown up with and become accustom to different sex noises. (after all, people of different languages have trouble pronouncing letter or words that are spoken naturally by others)
