how comes soda doesnt come in squirt bottles? i would love that…they have gatorade and water and stuff in them but i have yet to see soda in a squirt bottle WHY?
'Cause part of the time you’d get soda and the rest of the time you’d get bubbles. Messy.
because the soda can release the co2 that is dissolved in the solution – this can be messy in a squirt bottle
Also because if you miss your mouth it might get sticky (bad idea for bike trips, etc.)
Water is healthier anyway.
At one time, there was a company that sold squirtable beverages to Safeway stores(ca. 1985-87). It was a large bottle, with a screw-on squirter, and a long downspout to the very bottom of the bottle(solved the all gas, all liquid problem).
I don’t know what happened to them, but by the time they’d disappeared, they had sparkling waters as well as sodas available.

I think the squirt caps from Gatorade bottles will screw onto most soda bottles. Make your own, and see how it works.
The pressure from the CO[sub]2[/sub] would pop the squirt nozzle up. Then your soda would lose all its fizz.
Shhh! AWB We want to watch him get sprayed in the face!
Really, I doubt that you’'d get enough pressure to pop it open unless you shook a fresh soda very vigorously. Those things latch down pretty well.
Of course, if he’s going to do stunt-biking with his cola in a bottle holder, all bets are off–I’d think he’d be too busy to drink it anyway.
Maybe there is another reason. Squirt bottles are usually used for extended outdoor activities like biking, hiking, right? Water and Gatorade are good for this because it doesn’t taste too bad when lukewarm (or people are so thirsty that they don’t care), but nobody likes lukewarm coke. At least I would never take coke on a long hike, squirt bottle or not.
Actually, I like room-temperature Coke
Although I prefer it cold, I’ll drink warm with no problem. This was a skill developed in college, out of necessity. Put your cokes in the fridge, and it someone else drinks them. Leave them out on the floor, still in the box, and nobody else drinks them because they’re not cold After a semester (or two), you get used to it.
