Long story short, some one at the organization I work for accidentally sent a listserv the social security numbers and DOB’s of several people in the organization. The Organization has opted to pay for Identity Guard for those whose SSN’s and DOB’s were compromised.
My question: Is that enough? Could the company do anything else for those whose SSN’s were compromised?
The person who did it immediately knew it and told the higher-ups…it was human error not gross negligence. The listserv email and the email she was sending them to are literally one letter off. Anyway, what say you?
