Is there a stone in St. Paul’s Cathedral in London bearing the inscription
“Resurgam”? The story I heard goes that it was placed there when the
church was rebuilt following the great fire and translates to “I shall rise
again”.
I will point out that, in the context of the story, the workman is asked to bring “a stone” from the ruins on the fire-razed older cathedral. Resurgam could easily have been found on a grave stone or crypt cover stone as it is, obviously, a fairly significant belief among Christians.
