I work in a place where 1 staircase has 3 sections per floor. So you end up facing the wrong way if you go up or down 1 floor. The other 2 staircases are normal, 2 sections per floor. How common is it to use 3 sections? Never seen it before.
What do you mean by “facing the wrong way”? No matter how many sections there are, you’re still facing an exit door onto that floor, right? Sure, you’re not facing the same way that you started, but so what?
Do you mean three sections on the same wall or what?
If that is the case - then yes - you’d sort of be facing the “wrong” way on any opposite number of floors. You need to give us more info.
The Big Bang theory uses three sections per floor in their apt complex, but it is on three different walls.
