Stalking the Wild Idea (original plot)

This topic has been discussed before, I’m sure, but I wonder if any of us who are so quick to point out the cliches and hackneyed plotlines of movies, books, TV shows, and various stories in whatever medium, have ever gone after an “original idea” with any gusto. Better yet, any success.

It’s been said of story plots (as well as songs or jokes) that there are only a basic few and that all the rest are just reworkings or recastings of those basic few. Let’s see if we can prove that saying incorrect.

Challenge: Give a plot outline of some piece of fiction that is entirely new in every respect. No cliches, no old plots. Just 100% new stuff.

Characters can be old but not the story line itself.
