If he gets any bigger, he’s going to generate his own gravity well!
Hey! I really liked that movie!
** Sam Stone ** you’ve made a good case in Mel’s defense, and upon giving it further thought, I’m inclined to agree.
I was wrong to imply that he is incapable of more than a few variations on a single theme. But, those are his films that have had the most mainstream appeal.
Man it’s been too long since I saw Gallipolli. Thanks for reminding me of it, I need to make my wife endure it (the senceless carnage that is).
I actually didn’t mind Jean-Claude in Timecop [runs away and hides]
Lundgren is surprisingly amusing if you seek out some of his lesser roles. His supporting role as a mad-prophet sort in Johnny Mnemonic was very entertaining, for example.
Van Damme was good in Cyborg. IMO, it was his best work. My only question is why didn’t Jesus pull himself off the cross that way?
I think that it is grossly unfair, however, that nobody has mentioned the greatest action star of them all, Jack Deth himself…Tim Thomerson. The man makes every role he plays, no matter how thankless, into a gem. He plays crazy like nobody plays crazy.
