About that spoiler:
[spoiler]Enterprise-D? Meaning the ship from TNG, and not the current one as of Star Trek: Nemesis? So it would be present-day Frakes and Sirtis playing ten-years-younger Riker and Troi?
Unless they meant Enterprise-E and the “present-day,” but if so, Riker and Troi should be on a different ship, not Enterprise.[/spoiler]

They seemed to try and make it difficult to make a next series or movie using the characters. For example, there is no reason given why Worf quite his Tarq hunting ambassador job to return to shooting things for Picard.

Remember how, when Enterprise started, people were complaining about the continuity problems? In a thread about the show, I jokingly suggested that at the end, it would turn out that Archer was a low-level officer on the Enterprise-E, and the whole series was just a big holo-novel.
