What is the title of this thread? Is this a discussion on Trek in general? Or specifically this piece of crap movie masquerading as Trek.
As far as number of “black” people in the movie there are several. (which is good) But on Uhura is a hottie.
There is the guy from Dr. Who who sets off the bomb. There is the Admiral. There is a Captain in the Captain’s meeting. There is a Crewperson on the Enterprise. All of them a bit on the heavy side. ALL. If I owned the movie I’m sure I could spot more but anyone who was featured in anyway was a bit on the heavy side.

You mean Noel Clarke? This guyis chubby? I wouldn’t even call the before picture there “chubby”. He might have been a bit chubby in the beginning of NuWho, but I wouldn’t have characterized him in this movie as anothing but tough or hard. “Stocky” if you want, but that implies muscle over fat.

That’s one chubby out of 5 identified characters. And that doesn’t include Sean Blakemore, because he played a Klingon. Nor does it include a couple of voice actors and the uncredited roles.
