Likewise, a long time since I saw it, but IIRC the justification was that interacting with Humans started the war, so Q thought that interacting with humans, the same bunch of humans, might stop it.
Sounds like the Gilligan’s Island theory of amnesia.
You talkin’ to ME, Ekers?

I think he’s talking to me. But I have no idea what it means. I don’t think Gilligan’s Island has ever been shown in my country, certainly I’ve never seen a single episode.
It was a comedy TV show about castaways and their attempts to escape and return to civilization. “Gilligans Island” and “Lost in Space” were derisive references to Voyager. Certainly one of the worst Trek series, it does not deserve the derision given it by some folks on the board, if only for the Janeway line, “Breakout the Compression Phaser Rifles.” ![]()
Damn, I want one!

Actually, it was a just a reference to a recurring premise of Gilligan’s Island in that if a blow to the head causes amnesia, a second blow will cure it.
And the* Voyager *line that always kills me is Torres’ deadly-serious “Get the cheese to sickbay.”
“Still no sign of Neelix’s lungs!” is a close second.
I thought that was delivered by Janeway.
The worst is the episode where Janeway and Paris travel at warp 10, turn into salamanders and produce offspring.

So, Mr. Ekers, how badly did Enterprise fellate?
Enterprise had such wasted potential, it’s almost painful to talk about. I’m prepared to write off the first two seasons (Sulaban and Xindi) as being wastes of time with a few random good moments (rather the same way I felt about TNG, actually) and it had just started to hit its stride when they introduced the Andorian/Vulcan rivalry.
I’ve written here how I would have preferred the “augment” mini-arc to end. It would have been a lot more violent. One edge it had over TNG, DS9 and Voyager: no damn kids.
I am surprised that we agree on something. ![]()
The only episode that was directly contradicted onscreen. Paris later says he’s never gone to transwarp before.
I fanwank it as one of Paris’s many holoprograms. Or maybe even one designed by Neelix, since he gets called a genius. Yeah, sure.

More likely the writers trying to convince everyone that they never wrote that piece of crap in the first place. To borrow from another franchise: “This is not the continuity you’re looking for…”
Okay, if we’re going to ask questions about Voyager, I’ve got a few…
Why can they use Holodecks, if they’re so close to out of power? And don’t give me that incompatibility bullshit, because my iPod’s incompatible with my car, but they make a goddamn adapter for that. And it’s bullshit that the Federation would even design something like that.
How many goddamn motherfucking shuttles can you fucking retards lose?!

It was eventually decided that they were manufacturing replacements. Which may be why they lost so many. Paris went for mag wheels over good brakes every damn time. ![]()
Trelane was played by actor William Campbell. His ex-wife, Judith, is well known in JFK conspiracy circles as she was alleged to be and sometimes claimed to have been (her stories varied wildly) simultaneously the mistress of JFK and Sam Giancana at the time of the 1960 election and to have had an abortion by JFK during his campaign. (There are many :dubious: doubts about some of her claims, but most accept she had a sexual relationship with JFK.)
Picture of Judith and William Campbell- He apparently shared a stylist with Liberace.

Or Elvis, or Robert Mitchum.
