Dude, if we’ve told you once we’ve told you a thousand times: DO NOT DRINK THE BONGWATER!
Earth doesn’t even seem to have any identity or government separate from the Federation itself.
The primary human member state of the Federation is United Earth.
Listen to yourselves, inalienable Human rights… The Federation is nothing more than a Homo Sapiens only club. -Chancellor Gorkon’s daughter

this. The last two seasons of ENT were amazing. I watched DN9 after I saw ENT after hearing how great and different its story arcs were, but IMHO, they had nothing on ENT and the Xindi. Think of the breathlessness and tension of the whole Breaking Bad story, that’s what the Xindi story did for me.
And I should add that the development of the Andorians was pretty multidimensional. And Shranwas awesome.
I did rather like some of the Andorian episodes, and the Mirror Universe episodes were quite good. And if more of the series had been like the Mirror Universe episodes, I might have liked the series more … but the whole “temporal cold war” and the Xindi seemed to me like it was borrowed from a different TV series, was all.
Yes. It works better if you delete all of those (and some others, like the “Klingon forehead” two-parter) from your watch order.
I didn’t watch ENT when it first came out. Since Netflix picked up Star Trek I binge-watched DS9 and then ENT, and I do believe ENT might be the best of all the Treks.
Bergama was in control of the first two seasons of ENT. Berman and Bragga had this … thing … about time travel, time wars, reset buttons, etc… Got old.
When Manny Coto took over, and got some different (non Trek) writers involved, things picked up. Too little too late, tho. The Time (Wild and Loose!) crap had already crippled what little hope there was for the little show. (imho, ymmv, idgacwyt***)
Still, certain eps throughout its run are worth watching. The Cogenitor and A Night In Sick Bay were two well done eps that weren’t simple rehashes of earlier Trek stuff. The Xindi arc was useful, but I was glad when it was over. Maybe a half season of it would have been better.
All hind sight, of course. If you can stand wallowing thru some of the silliness of the old Trek Doper ENT threads, you can see some pretty good discussions* of what was right and wrong in the TrekkerVerse at the time.
except for Byan Eakers’ posts of course.*
