It’s in the vein of “infographic” style. It’s become a popular graphic illustration style over the last decade or so. This particular artist does mostly that sort of work if you look at his online portfolio. So, in doing much smaller scale type of work, I’m sure the inspiration to apply it to the entire movie of Star Wars seemed like a great idea. And, IMHO, it was.
He says it took him about 1,000 hours to complete over a span of about 1.5 years.
Have you tried just saving the whole web page? That’ll at least get it all onto your hard drive. From there, I know it’s possible to convert an HTML file into a PDF file, but I think the default settings for free PDF converters split web pages into standard-sized 8.5x11 pages. I wonder if the full $$$ Adobe Acrobat can convert this to a PDF file that’s got just one long-ass page?
