Star Wars question about the Hutts

Don’t forget Gardulla the Hutt, who owned Anakin and Shmi before they were sold to Watto.

There’s also an interesting scene with some Hutts in the comic storyline Emissaries to Malastare. Mace Windu encounters a Hutt who’s missing half his head. Apparently, just like worms, Hutts can regenerate severe injuries.

Here’s hoping they’ll show some kiddie Jabbas in EP.3

There’s just something about 3 foot tall slugs that gets me.

In the distant past, I read a fair amount of Star Wars novels.

As I recall, Hutts are actually born skinny; they’re like walking snakes. As they age, they naturally gain weight, it’s a sign of prestige. Seeing as Jabba’s so fat he can hardly walk, he’s done fairly well for himself. There was one Jabba in the books who had a genetic defect; he couldn’t gain weight, so regardless of his age, he was always the bitch in the group. I imagine people like him become plumbers, or take to the straight life.

I don’t have pictures or anything, but I would assume that a Hutt would have a cloaca.

Actually the Hutt with the wasting disease was forced to be a servant for the other Hutts and they kicked him and spat on him.

Hutts are notoriously hard to kill-their hide is very tough from what I understand.

A 110lb woman can usually squeeze the life out of 'em, though – given a little leverage and enough cocaine.

. . . and Nancy Reagan wanted us to think cocaine was bad for us!

What unfortunate analogy are you referring to? I’m whooshed by your whoosh.

Suggesting an isomorphism between Hutts (an entire race) and the Mafia (a criminal class), in the context of this question, seems to imply a perception that all Italians are somehow connected to gang activity. This matches the perception that the American Italian Defamation Association has of the general perception of Italian-American people engendered by Hollywood films.

I’m 99.97% sure that she was joking, 'cuz she’s such a sweetheart.

gratzi.

I was talking about the Hutts being stereotypes of the Godfather and that.

I’m pretty sure Pizza the Hut was Italian.
