Star Wars & women

Sadly, there won’t be any Clone Wars in 2 and 3, at least according to Lucas (I think the interview is at www.starwars.com)..) Of course, he is notorious for changing his mind. I was really hoping to see them. I heard that the Jedi Hunts will even be rather short, basically a montage lasting a couple of minutes.

No Clone Wars? ::boggle:: For the love of Yoda, George, are you deliberately trying to piss us off? We tolerate effing Jar Jar, as you tell us, don’t worry, I’m just setting the stage, it’s all background, the excitement is coming. I’m starting to get really suspicious, George.

Fine, you say your target audience is kids. I have no problem with that. I was 4 when ANH came out, 7 for ESB, and 10 for ROTJ. I was hooked along with 95% of kids my age. Are you trying to tell me that making new SW movies with the same deep level of complexity will baffle today’s kids? Wampapoop.

Justin

Probably pointing out the obvious here, but isn’t it interesting to see that our remote ancestors (from far, far away) are 99% caucasian/white?

One of the SW novels mentions the brilliant but eccentric designer of the first Death Star, and the hideous death he suffered for that minor design flaw.
Although when you design a fortress, I doubt that you presume that your attackers will have a complete blueprint of the whole thing.

Sorry if I wasn’t clear, Lumpy, but I wasn’t referring to the design flaw that blew up the death star when hit.

Rather I was referring to the bridges that connected two sections of the fortress. (Darth threw the emporer over one in REJ.)

You look down and…well, it would be like putting a freakin’ footbridge over the Grand Canyon. I just thought the engineers of the future would put SOME thought into safety!

But, Lisa, it’s not the future, it’s ‘Long, long ago, in a Galaxy far, far away.’ :stuck_out_tongue:

They obviously cared about design more than safety, back then. I’m sure the Emperor (and Imperial Architects) didn’t particularly care if a few workers fell into the abyss, as long as it all looked cool.
