Just checked out Reese Witherspoon on IMDB and find that she has an incredible 24 movies in development (details on 20 of them are only available on IMDB Pro unfortunately). This is films in pre-production, post-production or announced. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actor with so many films in development.

Is she a producer in most of those? She has 7 producer credits listed for this year/in production/etc.
E.g., she was a producer for Gone Girl but didn’t act in it.
Getting a producer credit is sometimes incredibly trivial. A show we watched last night had something like 7 executive/co-executive producers and a host of lesser producers.

Not a record, but James Franco currently has 17 in some stage of production. For each of the past several years he’s averaged about 10-15 projects per year, though I’d challenge most people to name more than two or three. I think more people have actually appeared in James Franco TV shows and movies than have seen them.
