Starry starry night...this is a band-aid thread

Ok, my ding-bat head typed up Temu in my search. I got rid of the APP..they will bomb every device you got with helpful advice about what you want to purchase. It was creepy how often they read my mind.

Anywhoo, first thing up was spot patches. These are little dots you put on an acne spot or a dark spot. Even a dry patch. These are hydrocolloid like those puffy band-aides. No medicine in.

You can get them with meds in for cold sores or infected acne.

I got bit by a horse fly on back of my neck and I slapped one on.

It helped. I believe.

They are very safe it seems.

I clicked order..for a PKG with 150 dots in.

They came. Then another came. Then one more. I clicked on CS on Temu (ain’t easy, trust me) They said keep them. I wasn’t charged but for one. The thing came in little more than an envelope, I think the shipping was more than the dots cost.

Maybe they felt bad and donated me two.

I ended up with a bunch of dots.

Wait. Wrong. They weren’t dotty at all. Little stars. Colorful pastels.

Not one to be stingy, I gave every one a sheet.

Kids were sticking them. My oldest granddaughter decorated her phone case with them. Stars were everywhere.

Butch the Chihuahua had one stuck on his face wart hair. Funny stuff. Looked like an alien antenna. Pink star floating above his eye.

I just warned the kids not stick them on the walls or floor. And let it be.

(I know a thing, they don’t really stick well so easily removed).

That night I got up in the middle of the night to parade about the house(cause I’m weird). I kept seeing little sparklies. In the trash can, in the refrigerator on a can of whack biscuits.

On the cat bed. One was floating in a glass in the sink. Sparkling things everywhere. WTH?

I got in the pantry and saw a sparkle on the door knob. I flip the light on and saw it was a stick on spot star.

They Glow in the Dark!!

I had a starry starry night. :star: :star: :sparkles:

That was fun.

I never thought I’d read a “Temu serendipity” story. :+1:

I work in a high school. I often see these stars adorning the faces of teenage girls.

When I was that age, folks tried to hide zits, but of course the flesh-colored band-aid dot just called even more attention to them. So I guess the kids nowadays figure, if you’re going to call attention to them anyway, they might as well be a pretty shape.

Yes my young adults ain’t got no shame about such things.

“No, no please I don’t want to look under your acne dot…”

We finally got the stars all peeled off stuff. When I roaming last night I only saw one.

Kinds sad.

I wish I could find clear glow in the dark stars and really put them in the cathedral loft.*

Would that be cool thing to have?

The cats walk the beams,

I don’t think it would bother them. They are Siamese. What am I saying? Every thing bugs them.

Hmmm  !

(* Maybe I need to punch up Temu in my search bar)

next time, order Googly eyes…in assorted sized. :joy:

I asked one of the kids I coach about them.
They’re medicated to deal with pimples.

I’ve had that happen twice in my life. The first time was a set of rugby shirts from Sears in the early 90’s. They were on sale so I ordered one of every color. Then they sent the regular instead of the long, so I called them. So they sent me another set of regular instead of long, so I called them. . . I ended up with 25 rugby shirts and a refund because they were out of the long ones the whole time. I wore them anyway, and 30-odd years later there is one of those shirts remaining in my wardrobe somewhere.

The second time was a set of sheets I ordered from Woot!. I ordered white and they sent me blue, so I called them. They sent me another set of blue, I said nothing, I actually rather liked the blue, but they caught it I guess and sent me another set of blue. About four weeks later they sent a note of apology and two sets of white sheets to make up for it. Again, they are stored away for use when the white ones wear out.

Absolute craziness!

Yes. You can get the ones with salicylic acid in. But these don’t have that. I mainly wanted them because I get dry spots in my injection quadrant.

Hydrocolloid is what it’s called. You can get *band-aides like that. But they stick crazy and hurt to peel off. So no. Don’t work for me. These should work. Gonna have to hide the last pack.

*This is why it’s a band-aide thread
