Another “free” preview of premium channels this week. Starz. They want me to pay for this shit.
They entice me with 30 year old crap movies. Followed by 10 year old SHIT movies!
I’m not even going to embarrass myself by telling you what I watched today. We’ll just say, I ain’t subscribing.
I even shined-on the dog running to watch some piece of shit! (Well, really, it was very cold and windy, and I don’t really think the dogs wanted to go anyway)
 I’m still watching one right now, but listening to The Pink Floyd. Hey, free is free!
I don’t think Starz considers movies to be their primary selling point anymore. Their focus now is their original series like Outlander, Power, Ash vs Evil Dead, Black Sails, and The Girlfriend Experience.
I enjoy “Blunt Talk” with Patrick Stewart, but I wouldn’t pay extra for it. Also, Starz has (had?) a deal to show all Disney and Pixar animated movies before other outlets, although I noticed that Zootopia showed up on Netflix, so that might be over.
With my cable company (Comcast) the Starz family of channels is included with a subscription to a premium channel like Showtime or HBO.
I like Starz. Not to change the topic but my issue with Starz is they used to have an App that worked on my Roku. There was also a separate app for Encore I could use. Starz decided to combine their Streaming app that you can buy without Cable and their Streaming app you use when you have the Starz Channel on your Cable into one which pissed Comcast off so now if you have Comcast you can’t use their app at all. Hopefully they will solve their pissing contest so I can watch stuff on my Roku again.
When I had cable, Starz Cinema was just about the only source of films that were in the artistic/intellectual genre, often foreign, impossible to find on any other cable purveyor. I included it just for that. It was the only movie channel that wasn’t committed to just recycling the same old shit.
