Upthread someone mentioned Cleopatra’s boobs. I spoke about this thread to my manager at the cafe, and she was there with a party of friends once. She said all the guys did feel the boobs, but she and the other women in the group posed with a stature of Caesar, pretending to reach up under his tunic.
I recall a statue of an African figure at the Natural History Museum in New York. The man is seated on the ground with his feet stretched out in front of him. The “ground” of the statue is about at waist height, and it is located just to the right of the main entrance to that particular gallery.
The left foot is burnished from a hundred years of people walking into the gallery and swinging around the corner with a hand on the foot.
