Staying up all night.

I used to struggle with insomnia of the “went to sleep fine, slept four hours, and am now lying here staring at the ceiling” variety, but since I learned to meditate, my sleeping has improved dramatically. I don’t actually meditate any more, but learning to focus on my breathing has stayed with me, and is extremely effective at putting me back to sleep. It usually takes about three focused breaths, and I’m back out again.

The Google Hamsters must be particularly incompetent today. After I posted, I saw an ad for mailing lists.

ahh… the good old days of google ads…

I find 4 hours a-ok. 6 hours is tough. 9 hours is best.

And really, I can’t recall the last time I went to bed earlier than 2. Often later than 3. 5-6 hours per night is the norm for me.

I think it may be a mark of mental deficiency that I don’t understand why I’m tired all the time.
