So I have 1 lb of sirloin that I’m going to cook tonight (probably broilied, as we have no grill), and I need some ideas of how to prepare it. We have no steak sauce or anything, so creative ideas would help.
Quick Teriyaki:
Make a marinade of the following:
1/2 cup red wine
1/2 cup soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 TBSP grated ginger
2 TBSP sugar
Warm all slightly and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool.
Score the steak in a diamond pattern on both sides. Place steak in bowl with marinade and cover with plastic wrap. Now, this should actually marinate for about 8 hours, but shorter will be okay. Broil to desired doneness.
Someone should be along shortly with a London broil recipe.
The best advice I can give you is “Buy a grill”. Don’t subject your meat to a broiler!

Funny you should mention that, gatopescado (oh Catfish!), I actually did make fajitas with it…no marinade though…not enough time.
Do you have Italian dressing? It makes a great marinade.
