The TSA page was less than helpful. Are steel-toed shoes prohibited on passenger aircraft flying in the US?

I’ve flown wearing them.

I have flown wearing them as well. (Domestically U.S., as well as to Japan.)

You will need to take them off and send them through the Xray machine.
