Some stereo’s have the options Mono, Stereo, and Stereo Wide.
What is Stereo Wide? I use to have a “Boom box” that had it, and my wife has a stereo which has the option too, so I know what it sounds like, but I’m curious, how is it different from regular stereo?
Just a guess, but I’d assume it amplifies the difference between the Left and Right channels more than the sum of the Left and Right channels (which would be mono). This would tend to increase the stereo separation.
