How many threads have we had recently along the lines of “my ears have fallen off - medical advice sought”. We do have a MDs here on the board, but surely asking random strangers for an online consultation is one of the less productive ways of fighting ignorarance.
This subject is covered in our registration agreement . . . did you see this?
Quoting:
**Considering the real-time nature of this bulletin board and the volume of messages received, it is impossible for us to verify the information posted. We do not vouch for or warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any message, and are not responsible for the contents of any message. Users should be particularly wary of medical, legal or other professional advice posted on the message boards and recognize that it is no substitute for in-person consultation with a competent professional. The messages express the views of the author of the message, not necessarily the views of the Chicago Reader, Inc., or any entity associated with it. **
How much clearer can we make it?
Though, lordamercy, common sense should tell you to weigh all information you get from every source . . . if you run any aspect of your life on stuff you get off the internet, maybe you deserve what you get.
So you didn’t read the registration agreement and you don’t like stickies. What are we supposed to do, beam the information in your head by thought control?
