I should clarify this. The actor who player Werner Turner on one show was involved in another show. His son convinced him to add a special guest character to one episode of that second show. Star Wars was the inspiration for it.

If kunilou is right, I’ll have to call a little bit of a protest. Tom Poston didn’t appear until about half way through the show’s run and was never listed as a regular cast member. Thus, he shouldn’t be considered the main character’s “old buddy”.

Second, I never claimed that Poston was a regular cast member. But The Peeper was The Mooner’s old college buddy. I think the question was a valid one. Besides, why make it easy on you?
